About the Band: The Glenn Crytzer Orchestra is a big band focused on authentic performance practice of the music of the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s. Their music has been used in dozens of TV and Film productions, and they were named Best Group of 2017 in the New York City Jazz Awards. The GCO has appeared at venues such as Lincoln Center, The Rainbow Room, the Plaza Hotel, the Glen Echo Ballroom, and many more.
About the venue: The Montauk Club House was built in 1891 at the northern tip of Prospect Park as a private club*. The gorgeous venue, which has served as a set featured in TV shows Films such as Boardwalk Empire, The Good Wife, Person of Interest, The Knick, Mysteries of Laura, and Gotham boasts a large ballroom with tables** for listening/dining audience members as well as wood floors for dancing. There is a full bar serving beer, wine, and cocktails as well as a dinner menu.
Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Please note that tickets are limited and are likely to sell out in advance!
*You do not need to be a Montauk Club member to attend this performance!
